The Hangover (not really though)

Nope, no hang over for me.... :P but Russ did look a little worse for wear this morning. :P He definately had a hangover. James was fine...still sort of drunk at 8am when we woke up(tell you about that in a sec). And Chris was completely fine because he paces his drinking ALOT, almost too much actually. Takes him an hour to down 1 pint. I was quite proud of myself--I didn't spew and I didn't get a hangover. I felt completely fine this morning...so good in fact that after brunch, I started drinking again. What? I was thirsty!

In any case.....
Today has been the real chill/recover day...but more hilarity ensued before then. (some people might want to stop reading this next bit due to the mature content).

Monroe...the little 14 year old that we put to bed last night, temporarily went missing. I woke up and heard the TV on in Sam's room....the door was open so I walked in to tell him to turn it down and what did I find? TV on, but no boys in the bed. I look over into Harry's side of the bedroom and see Sam sleeping in harry's bed(Harry was out at a friends house, so his room was up for grabs). Then I think, "WTF Where is monroe?". I look in the bathroom, not there....the kicthen, not there.....the living room where Chris and Russ were sleeping, not there. By this time James had gotten up to get a glass of water and he looked in the downstairs bathroom and as soon as we open the door, Monroe's head falls out. He's passed out on the floor of the bogs and completely asleep. James tried to get Monroe to get up and go back to sleep but Monroe wouldn't move. So I bend down next to him and started talking to him saying "are you okay? I bet it'd be nicer to sleep in a warm bed." at this, Monroe (who apparently had a major crush on me) started to stir, then proceeded to put his hands down his pants and touch himself. .....so we just left him there and went back up to bed.

-------------

James and I actually woke up around 1:30pm, saw the others up, had a cup of tea all around, we chatted about how epic last night was and all the hilarious things that happened during the evening when others were asleep. Then Russell suggested that we have pancakes for breakfast (he's seriously OBSESSED with American Fluffy Pancakes...as opposed to crepes which are normally called pancakes over here).

We needed some more eggs and milk so James and I drove to Ross, and got some more supplies in Spar (kind of like a 7-11) and headed back home. James made us a full English Breakfast because I didn't want pancakes, whilst I made about 25-30 pancakes for the rest of the boys: Tony, Monroe, Sam, Chris and Russ. We ended up actually eating at like half 3 though, and then at around 5, Russell and Chris left.

James and I watched TV and cuddled for a while until dinner, we made ourselves Fish n' Chips with Mushy Peas (and I had another Magner's Irish Cider that was left over from last night's festivities--it was like having a pub meal in the comfort of my home....because i do consider The Dam Barn my home as well as California).

Now James and I are about to settle in and watch a few movies before bed. Right now we'll be watching "Youth in Revolt", the first film we saw in Cinema together. :)

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

So, I'm coming at all of you from the future! 2011. haha! Nice one. :) Tonight has been a blast, but I'll start with what happened in my last day of 2010 first.

I had a nice lay in, but then James and I went out to get 'supplies' for tonight's festivities. The grocery store was HECTIC. We could barely find parking and THAT was even a challenge. There was a lady who stole our parking space. :( This lady in a green car came round the corner and even though we were on the other side of the corner, waiting for this car to pull out(we had our turn signal on and everything), after the car pulled out, this lady snookered her way into the spot…AND SHE SAW US waiting there. Such an old hag. I was pissed. We got a spot, not too far from her in any case, so we didn't wait long after that for a spot(some other mid 30s lady was kind enough to tell us where there was a spot for us).

We did our shopping, but when we came back out, the lady in the green car was loading up her car. So, I walked over to her an calmly and nicely stated, "Maybe next time you should think about spreading holiday cheer and good tidings towards others instead of thinking about your own selfish needs".
HER: "I was here first, waiting for a half an hour for a parking spot. How long have you been here?"
ME: "Not very long, but still, we were waiting for that spot and you took it. Shouldn't you be thinking of others and sharing good will towards men?

She then brushed me off, walking away, saying something like, "good tidings to you", in a very snooty and unconvincing tone of voice. So I said to her as I walked away, "Happy new year to you too. I hope you become a better person in the New Year".

She was such a bitch. But I'm glad I confronted her. Maybe she'll think twice about being a snooty old hag even if she's in a rush or having a bad day. It's the Holidays….have some cheer…and some class, lady.

Anyway, getting out of Ross was a nightmare because of all the traffic and Ross has a one-way street system going through it, but we eventually made it home. I showered, got ready, we ate some dinner and then we went out into Ross to meet Russell and Chris again for New Years.

---------------

These are the photos from the drinking Fest of tonight. We hit "The Royal", a kind of posh pub in Ross, then Weatherspoons ("spoons"), which had a really rough crowd tonight so we didn't stay long, then to the Yud (The Kings Head Bar) to finish off the night. At midnight we walked down to the market square, which is only a few shops down from the hotel, to shoot off poppers and bring in the new year. Then we went back to The Dam Barn (james' house) to do a little beer pong and house party. Before I show pictures, I want to mark how much alky I've had, for my own personal record to remember:

The Royal: 1 Cider, chilled bottle (4.5% vol)
Spoons: 1 Smirnoff ice, chilled bottle (4%) and a bit of Jame's crappy Perry (4.5%)
Kings Head: 2 baileys on ice (40%) and a Headless Man Dry Cider (6%)
Back at the Dam barn: 2 cider cans (5%), 1 white russian (40% Baileys, 37% Smirnoff, 20%Kahlua, and some milk) a cup of tea and some water…and pizza, but that last bit is food.

Now, here are photos with commentary:

James....making a funny face with Cider in his mouth. haha wasn't very good Cider/Perry to begin with.

Left is Chris, Right is Russ.

James' Dad, James Sr., gave us a round of drinks free...very nice of him. :) I get along with James Sr. quite well.

Happy me, in my atmosphere...a pub.

Chris Norton.

The Boys in 2011.

Kissing the new year in.

Happy New Year to us...."Kissing the old year out. Kissing the New Year in."

I can't even remember why they were doing hitler mustaches, but it was hilarious.

Me, lazing about the couch.

Just James....I love him.

More Beer Pong.

"I AM SPAR!"(Parody off 'I am Sparta')

Oh Russ and Me, always meant to be mates, nothing more. It's better this way :P And Russ thinks James and I make a great couple, so it works out perfectly. :)

Playing on the Wii.

Monroe being the silly 14 year old drunk that he is. THIS is why drinking at 14 is illegal....oh dear.

Me, off my face and having a good time. James happy that I'm not EXTREAMELY drunk.

Monroe.

Tony....cool as a cucumber at 2am.

Monroe getting friendly with Lcke.

James, Russ and Chris taking Monroe back up to bed...literally making him crawl into bed.

Sam and Monroe.

Happy New Year everyone. Hope people back in the States had as great a time as I did. :)

Gloucester

Today James and I went to Gloucester because I wanted to see the Catherdral. Last time I was in Englnad, Ben tried to take me to Gloucester Catherdra because it was where a bit in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets was filmed, but when we got there the Cathedral was closed because of some school program or something. :( This time when we went, it was open, which made me very happy. I even donated some money to the preservation of the Cathedral (which is recommended since there are no formal admission prices).

Here are pictures of the hall ways of the Cathedral. You may or may not recognize them. Somwhere within these hallways was where Harry Potter was filmed--the bit in the Chamber of Secrets where Harry comes across Mrs. Norris(the cat) and Nearly Headless Nick(the ghost), with the writting in blood on the castle wall:

The Cathedral was also full of these very decedant Windows:

James, standing outside a door; there were many doors and passageways, many of which are closed now because it's unsafe:

The outside coutyard, which were beautiful to be in, especially when today wasn't too cold of a winter's day:

Some more decedant windows:

This window pane I found interesting cause it reminded me of the Baptismal Font in the Temple:

Here's a Rapier from the 16th century:
The Old British Flags, which are actually rotting away(probably because of those light fixtures):
James, next to a Tomb Plaque. I found it interesting because I recognized some pretty big names from history on there:

There was also a spot where you could light a candle, as an act of prayer. I did one. I felt very spiritual in the moment:

Pictures of the outside of the Cathedral:

Next to the cathedral was an old tudor house, that looked like it has been left alone(no work done to it) since it was built. Cool building, faded and somewhat a mess, but I find it interesting so I took a picture:
After that we wandered around the shops in Gloucester. We went into HMV, Ann Summers, and there was a WHSmith shop, that's kind of like boarders. We shopped around at WHSmith, just browsing and I took some pictures of books on display that I thought were funny books:

We also stopped into a shoe shop called TReds, where they had converse shoes for a REALLY good price, so James bought me a pair of bright blue cons for an early birthday presents, cause he knows I need new cons.

In HMV, we also bought(went 50/50 on) a Blu-Ray disk of Scott Pilgram vs. The World. James has a PS3 that plays blu-ray and the Vidlers are due to get a new HD-TV by Monday, so we can watch it in High Def.
After we got home from Gloucester, we relaxed, I cleaned up our room(at least my stuff), and then we had dinner. Sam has a friend sleeping over tonight, so we actually all sat down and ate together at the table....well, except for Harry. As soon as his plate was served, he started eating and then pissed off as soon as he was done(which was barely after everyone got served).
After dinner, some more beer pong ensued, because Sam and his friend Monroe wanted to play. :P
Now James and I are about to tuck in and watch Role Models before heading off to bed. Tomorrow is New Years and for those who censor my blog for their own spiritual well being....I'll cover all the stuff during the day first, but as soon as I tell you about going into town for the evening, I suggest you stop reading because there will be lots of drinking involved.

oh! something i forgot to mention for "yesterday's" post was I got my first Royal Mail! I'm offically British. ;P
It was a letter and package from Steven and Jeni. They sent me their Christmas card and a set of Handpainted "LOVE">
In any case, thanks for the blocks guys.
